Application guidelines, drying time and care instructions for Snowcryl Weatherprotek Shine.

What is Snowcryl Weatherprotek Shine?

Snowcryl Weatherprotek Shine is a super acrylic weatherproof exterior emulsion. Its special acrylic base contains micronized minerals and stable-quality pigments that help the finish retain its sheen for longer.

What finish and performance does it provide?

It provides a rich sheen finish with a sheen level of 6–9 units at 60° for the white shade. The coating is flexible and dust resistant, provides weather protection, and helps resist fungal and algal growth. It carries a 7-year performance warranty.

What is the recommended mixing ratio and application method?

For brushability, mix 400 ml of clean potable water with 1 litre of paint. Apply by brush, roller, or spray. Do not over-dilute or add thinners or universal stainers.

What coverage can I expect?

Approximate coverage is 110–120 sq. ft. per litre per coat, or 60–80 sq. ft. per litre for two coats. Actual coverage varies with surface porosity and texture; trial application is recommended on rough or unusual surfaces.

What are the drying and recoating times?

The paint is touch dry in approximately 25–30 minutes. Allow 4–6 hours between coats.

How should the surface be prepared and painted?

Allow new masonry to cure for at least 28 days. The surface should be free of loose paint, dust, and grease; remove fungal, algal, or moss growth by wire brushing and washing. Repair continuous seepage or dampness before painting. Apply Snowcem Wall Putty if needed, followed by Snowcare Sealer & Primer diluted with 500 ml water per litre of primer. Primer application is mandatory. Apply two coats of Weatherprotek Shine, each diluted with 400 ml water per litre of paint, allowing 4–6 hours between coats. Apply three coats on horizontal surfaces such as window tops and ledges for greater protection. Use Snowcare Wall Putty for cracks up to 3 mm, holes, and dents.

It does not contain harmful compounds such as formaldehyde, phenolic compounds, or benzene. Wear eye protection during application, avoid breathing vapour or spray, and follow the safety instructions on the product label.
